Last weekend: Ibiza! Next stop: Wien and Praha!

Buenas noches everyone!  It's almost time for my second week off!  Tomorrow, I leave with three other people from my program for Vienna!  We are staying there for 2 days, then taking a day trip to Budapest, and then going to Prague from Wednesday until Saturday.  On Saturday we'll come back to Barcelona for our last two weeks! :(

I've fully recovered from my weekend trip to Ibiza!  It was absolutely incredible, everything I expected!  I had been wanting to go ever since I heard about it at the beginning of college.  It was a super easy trip from Barcelona.  Jessica (my friend from Paris) and I went by plane, and it was only about a 30 minute flight.  Once we landed, we took a bus to the main bus station in the middle of town.  It was tricky finding our hostel from there; we had to stop about 5 or 6 times to ask how to get there, but we finally found it!  It was the nicest hostel I've been to yet!  We had welcome treats waiting for us - sangria and tapas!  There was a beautiful pool at the hostel, so we sat outside and had our snacks after we put our bags in our room.  The room was so nice too!  There were real comforters, air conditioning, a fridge, and a spotless bathroom!  After relaxing at the hostel, we went to explore town and see the beach.  Our hostel ended up being about a 10 minute walk from the beach!  The beach was absolutely gorgeous.  The sand was soft and the water was such a pretty aqua color and totally clear!
The beach at sunset!
We found a delicious restaurant right on the beach and had nachos and falafels for dinner.  We got to sit right on the beach which was so nice.  After dinner, we went to a market and got some dessert snacks and sat to watch the sunset some more.

Jessica and I bought tickets for a club called Space ahead of time, so we went back to the hostel to get ready for our only night out in Ibiza!  The actual clubs are about a 45 minute drive from the area where everyone stays, so they have a "Disco Bus" to take everyone to the disco's starting at midnight.  We didn't want to find the bus by ourselves, so we went to the living area of our hostel to see if we could meet people to go with.  We ended up meeting two girls from New York who had been there for 2 nights, so we went with them.

The club was everything I had hoped for!  It was absolutely gigantic...it reminded me of a casino!  There was nothing else around it, and the building was so huge.  There were constantly about 100 taxis waiting in the turnaround for people coming and going.  We were really glad we bought tickets ahead of time, because the line was huge, but we got to skip it.  There were so many rooms inside the club with different DJ's from all around Europe, but we only went to three of them.  It was so amazing though!  The inside was awesome, and the music was so good!  We had the best night.

The line was so long!  We were so glad we got to skip it.

In the club!  My camera died after this picture :(

The next day, we checked out of the hostel and went to the beach for the day.  It was another gorgeous day in Ibiza!  We only ended up staying at the beach for about an hour because it was miserably hot.  Instead, we went back to the hostel to lay out by the pool and pick up our bags, and then we went shopping in town for a bit.  After a quick dinner, we said by to Ibiza and headed back to Barcelona - we were sad to leave so early!  Ibiza was truly amazing.

Jessica stayed in Barcelona for the week, but I was in class for most of the day every day, so she did all the touristy things on her own.  As usual, I had lots of architecture homework this week.  Today, I went to Placa Catalunya to go shopping because the big sales start in July!  Almost everything was 50% off!  It was amazingggg!  I bought a few things at H&M and Corte Ingles, the big department store here.  Afterwards, we went for a pizza lunch.  Now I'm just getting everything in order before my trip!  I still have to pack, print my boarding pass, and do all of that.

There is a big music festival tonight in Montjuic, a park on top of one of the mountains on the north side of Barcelona.  It is free to take a bus there, and entrance is free, so we are for sure going to go!  We'll probably come back somewhat early because we have to wake up early for our flight tomorrow.

This will be my last blog entry until I get back from my trip!  I'll update everyone when I get back!!  I'm so excited - can't wait to show everyone pictures! :)

LOVE YOU GUYS!  Miss you!
