Last few days... :(

Holaaaa!

Well, my time here in Barca really is wrapping up...our bus leaves Onix for the airport on Tuesday at 6 am (eek!), and our flight arrives in Atlanta at 2 pm Tuesday.  Then I'll get on my last leg home to Jacksonville!  I don't know how I feel about it!  I'm so excited for home and New York, but I'm getting so sad knowing that I'm doing everything here for the last time! :( I took lots of pictures today on our last walk to school and the metro.  I will NOT miss the trek to school or my classes though!

We've had a really fun past couple of days.  Last weekend, we did some touristy things here which was so nice!  I haven't gotten to do a whole lot of that.  I went shopping on La Rambla, a big touristy street with tons of shops and restaurants, and I went to La Boqueria - a HUGE market full of produce and meat and fish and cheese!  It was beautiful, but the meat was a little gross!  I also went to Casa Batllo, which is one of Gaudi's houses that he built.  It was incredible - a tad expensive to go inside, but there was an audio guide provided and it was amazing inside.  The whole house has a marine theme, and there are no straight lines anywhere!  It was orignially built as a home for the Batllo family, but now it just serves as a museum and display of Gaudi's work.  After we finished at the house, Lucy, Hannah, and I went for crepes :)

That night we also found a delicious tapas place!  It was called Taller de Tapas and is located about 20 minutes away in the Old City.  They had the best patatas bravas I've had yet!  We also had a yummy cheese platter and I had some good chicken skewers.  It was a really fun place.  And the Old City is so beautiful at night.

Last weekend we also went to watch the US women's soccer team play in the World Cup.  We watched it at an Irish pub that was full of Americans, which was really fun.  The US lost, but it was still a fun night!

This past week was my last week of classes, so I had a few finals and papers and things.  But we are all free to do whatever until we leave now!  Tonight, there is a huge dubstep producer performing at one of our favorite clubs, so literally almost the entire group of us is going!  Tickets here were so cheap compared to what they would have been in the US!  We're all hoping the weather clears up for the rest of the weekend (it's a bit cloudy today) so we can go to the beach one last time too.

Last day on the metro!
One last pic of our trek to UPC!
We spent a lot of time in this cafe at school!

We're going to miss mercadona so much!!!

I will write another blog entry before I leave Barcelona to record my last weekend here!  Love you guys, have a great weekend!

xoxo Sarah
